1. Scope

The Gift Card is a debit card that is purchased in a MediaMarkt store or via the webshop. In the case of an online purchase by sending the Gift Card to the address of the Customer's choice, the Customer must click on an activation link to activate the Gift Card. In the case of the online purchase of a printable Gift Card, it will be sent by e-mail in PDF form and the Gift Card will be valid after about 15 minutes. The Gift Card can only be redeemed at a MediaMarkt store or on the webshop. The Gift Card can be used by the Client for purchases of goods or services from MediaMarkt within the framework of the current General Terms and Conditions of Gift Cards. The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to meticulously regulate the relationship between the Clients and MediaMarkt. The Gift Card has no value until activated at the checkout or after activation by the Customer via the activation link for an online purchase. It is only after activation of the individual Gift Card that it can be used. The printable Gift Card in PDF form is active or valid after about 15 minutes.

2. Terms and Conditions

1. The Gift Card is valid in all participating MediaMarkt stores and on the webshop.
2. The Gift Card is valid for five years after activation.
3. The Gift Card is transferable to third parties. When purchasing a Gift Card online, the Customer can add his or her surname, first name and a text to the Gift Card. MediaMarkt is not responsible for its content and reserves the right to refuse texts that violate the law.
4. The amount stated on the Gift Card is in euros.
5. The amount on the Gift Card can be used in full or in part when making a purchase.
6. The Gift Card, as well as the remaining balance, cannot be refunded under any circumstances, either in cash or in the form of a voucher. The Gift Card can only be used to make purchases at MediaMarkt stores or on the webshop.
7. MediaMarkt declines all responsibility and cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that the Customers may have suffered as a result of the theft or loss of the Gift Card before or after its activation. In the event of loss or theft, the Gift Card will not be replaced or refunded by MediaMarkt.
8. MediaMarkt reserves the right not to replace or refund any damaged card.
9. The amount on the Gift Card will not generate any interest.
10. MediaMarkt reserves the right to change the General Terms and Conditions of the Gift Cards at any time.
11. These terms and conditions complete the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. These General Terms and Conditions of Sale also apply to Gift Cards.
12. The right of withdrawal for an online purchase of a Gift Card is excluded, both for unactivated and already activated Gift Cards by the Customer, as it can be personalized according to the Customer's specifications, including the amount, a name and a text and this is a debit card.
13. The Gift Card is only valid in the MediaMarkt stores in Belgium.

3. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Following the issuance or activation of a Gift Card, the Customer accepts the General Terms and Conditions. In the event of invalidity or unenforceability of any of the provisions of these General Terms and Conditions, this shall not affect the other clauses and provisions. These remain in full force and effect.
