In addition to our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, these gift card terms and conditions apply to gift vouchers issued by bol.com b.v.("bol.com"). By using a bol.com gift card, you accept these gift card terms and conditions and commit to complying with them.

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all gift cards issued by bol.com (both electronic and printed gift cards, paper gift cards and as gift cards) (collectively: "Gift Cards") sold by bol.com and by bol.com designated third parties.

2. Each Gift Voucher is provided with a unique code. This can be a number code and/or PIN code and/or text code. Each Gift Voucher will only be issued once. You must keep the Gift Card (including the code) in a safe place. In the event of theft (including the use of the code by unauthorized third parties) or loss (including the (accidental) deletion of e-mails), no compensation will be paid. Only original Gift Cards and codes can be used and must be provided to bol.com upon request. bol.com reserves the right to accept a Gift Card only upon receipt of the original Gift Card (in the case of electronic gift card, the e-mail sent to you by bol.com or a third party designated by bol.com designated third party and in which the code is included) and to demand payment in cash in case of improper use. If a Gift Card was purchased from a third party, you must keep the receipt and top-up receipt carefully and provide bol.com upon request.

3. To use a Gift Card, you must place your selected products in the "shopping cart". During the payment process, select "gift card" as the payment method and enter the exact code.

4. The nature, value, duration, expiry date and/or any applicable other specific terms and conditions of use can be found on the Gift Vouchers/or in the communication (e-mail) in which the code is included. Each Gift Card is valid for a certain period of time. After the expiry date, the Gift Card can no longer be used.

5. Gift cards issued by bol.com and/or by bol.com designated third parties are only redeemable for purchases made through bol.com.

6. Gift cards cannot be used for open orders.

7. Gift cards or their residual value cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. The residual value of the Gift Card can be used for subsequent orders. This value is visible in the user's account. The residual value is non-transferable and can only be used from the same account where the first use of the Gift Card took place and during the validity period of the Gift Card.

9. For Gift Cards that have already been used, all information regarding code, residual value and expiry date is also available via the account overview on the bol.com website.

10. If the total amount of the order is higher than the value of the Gift Card(s) used, the difference must be paid with one of the other payment methods: giro, credit card, discount code, iDEAL or Maestro.

11. In the event bol.com proceeds to a refund of (part of) the fac on the basis of article 9.2 of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale
